I’ve spent the last six years in small business consulting and tax accounting, working with companies across just about every size and industry you can name. What I’m good at is getting into the weeds with people, helping them grow and run leaner.
I build a real relationship with all of my clients, the kind where we sit down and work through their financial strategy together instead of me handing off a report and disappearing.
Here’s how I landed here. I started out in small business consulting and loved it. Around that same time I had two roommates who were CPAs, and they’d talk business and finance at a level that was over my head.
Between trying to keep up with them and a couple other CPA mentors, becoming a CPA seemed like the obvious path. I put in several years at a national tax firm before becoming independent.
My second client on my own was an MSP. He joked, “You might have a bright future working with MSPs!” A year later, that’s exactly my specialty.
Outside of work, I’ve got a wife and two sons. We’re a roller coaster, water park, ATV kind of family, the type that doesn’t mind getting dirty. We work hard so we can play hard, and I mean that.
